Kim Kardashian Shocked to Learn She Has “Low Activity” in Her Brain

Kim Kardashian Shocked to Learn She Has “Low Activity” in Her Brain

If you ever thought Kim Kardashian was lacking in certain faculties, it turns out that medical science might’ve proven you right.

During a recent episode of The Kardashians (via TMZ), the All’s Fair actress visited Dr. Daniel Amen for a brain scan as she’s dealt with chronic stress. (Amen also previously scanned the brains of Kendall Jenner and Khloe Kardashian, and we think maybe he’s inadvertently building a very specific database.) As Kim Kardashian put it, “The bar is in two months. I have the Met gala. I have my robbery trial coming up. Oh, and I might have a brain aneurysm, no biggie?”

So, what did Dr. Amen find? Well, a series of “holes” in her scans, all of which would indicate what he called “low activity.” Amen went on to say that part of Kardashian’s frontal lobe is “less active than it should be.” (Is that also why she thinks the moon landing was staged?)

As you’d expect from someone who just heard the words “your brain” and “low activity” in such proximity, Kardashian was quite shocked. “That can’t be,” she responded. “I just can’t — not accepting.” As for the aneurysm, Kardashian revealed on the November 20th episode of The Kardashians that “it’s been there for years.”

So, what’s got Kim K.’s brain all dismayed? Well, if you hadn’t already guessed, it’s the stress. It’s not only her near decade-long pursuit of being a lawyer, but her other business endeavors and personal life. That includes ongoing shoots for The Kardashians as well as shepherding two brands, Skims and Sknn, which despite their ridiculous names are multi-billion-dollar endeavors. (Skims was recently valuated at a ridiculous $5 billion after a recent round of funding.)

As Amen explained, for someone with Kardashian’s issues, it “would be harder to manage stress and that’s not good for you, especially as you’re studying and you’re getting ready to take the boards.”

Still, the episode made special focus on Kardashian’s ex, Kanye West. When one Kardashians producer said that he was “getting loud,” Kardashian replied, “I just can’t really engage. I think it’s just for the better.” In the past, Kardashian has said their divorce was a direct cause of her aneurysm, and that she continues to struggle with West’s behavior. Still, if anyone’s ex spiraled in real-time, from a disastrous run as president to goose-stepping toward alt-right fascism, our brains might also slow down a smidgen.

It’s not entirely bad news for Kardashian. Dr. Amen called her overall brain “beautiful,” and that she wasn’t at risk for Alzheimer’s disease. Plus, she had her old pal Scott Disick there to help her throughout the episode. At one point, Disick said, “She’s able to bottle up her emotions. Not sure where they go. Maybe she’s tucking them under her butt. That’s why it’s so big.” With jokes like that, the guy’s basically the Kardashian family’s own Patch Adams!

Still, if I could talk directly to Kardashian for a second. From one overly stressed person who can’t delegate emotionally to another, maybe choose your battles a little better. Would being a lawyer be cool? Sure, and perhaps it’d make you feel closer to your own father. But maybe gorgeous billionaire heiress/actress/mom/entrepreneur is enough already, and you’re just doing something that’s mostly for yourself? Why poke holes in your brain when no one else (for better and worse) could ever be Kim Kardashian?

Check out a clip from the episode below. And don’t you worry about Kim Kardashian: Not only is she working out a plan to manage her stress, she’s not letting anything get her down. “Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar,” she wrote in a recent Instagram Story. “No shortcuts, no giving up — just more studying and even more determination!”
