Americana, Country-Blues combination Suzanne’s Band is the official vehicle driven by Texas based singer/songwriter Mia Suzanne Walker. Suzanne’s career highlights include her recent acceptance into the Recording Academy (Grammy’s) and her rapid development as an established You Tube artist. Suzanne’s live shows are a blend of music covering the last seven decades, and are usually a mix of classic rock, pop and country. Booking is available as a solo, duo, trio or full band act. Suzanne’s original songs are also woven into the set list. What has been the driving force of your career in this upcoming New Year?
Creating new music and getting back into the studio.
Are you planning to do anything BIG next year for your career?
Yes, gig more!
What adjustments have to be made in order to get to that goal?
Taking time out of my schedule to be sure I’m cold calling on venues, emailing and phone calling.
What personal goal have you set for yourself that you’d like others to think about too?
Self-care is always so important. I’m having some surgery done on my fret arm during a couple of weeks of down time during the holidays. Musician’s bodies are also our instruments. Parts wear out and we need maintenance too otherwise it can affect our performance.
Making more moves in this New Year can be really exciting, is there anything that you are nervous about when it comes to your career? How do you get over those nerves and go for what YOU want?
Making goals for 2023 makes me nervous because I don’t want to set the bar too high and be discouraged yet I want to allow for miracles to happen too, hence the word of the year below.
What chances are you taking in 2023 when it comes to collaboration?
I hope to announce a confirmed date soon for a show collaboration with a friend of mine. Stay tuned!

Setting intentions is so important especially when accomplishing your goals! How do you make sure to keep that heart and drive you have for yourself?
Lots of prayer and refocus on the daily tasks at hand.
What is happening NEXT for you?
After my surgery, I plan to do a business analysis of 2022 and then set some goals for 2023.
