Vineet Singh Hukmani Releases “Run! Run! Run!”

Few performers can claim the accomplishments Vineet Singh Hukmani has amassed in the last two years. His string of nine #1 hits won’t soon be matched again, but it isn’t the end of his story. He moved on from that to write a collection of short stories entitled Nine based on those songs and now goes a step further. “Run! Run! Run!” is the representative single of his multiverse project Run Storm & the Hope Star introducing listeners to his fictional superhero Run Storm. It isn’t a Marvel comics type of hero, however, as Vineet’s creativity steers him far away from imitation.

I’m quite taken with what he’s pulled off. There isn’t a single hole in his presentation, he covers every base, and few if any listeners/viewers will come away from this project feeling unsatisfied. It’s harder and harder to find music projects today with the snap of genuine magic that I hear from “Run! Run! Run!” and there’s nothing about that’s faked. It flies with unadulterated passion capable of firing up any listener.

The imagination flaming off the release is impossible to forget. There are countless factors influencing its power. There is a soaring melody in the heart of this song that will likely define the entire project as a whole and the gravitas of the song’s instrumental attack gives it lasting value. His vocals are another high point. He sings with absolute commitment underlying each word, there’s never any sense of him coasting, and he inhabits the Run Storm persona as if he is born for the role.

No one else would dare such a project. It is not born of confidence bred by those nine #1 hits. It’s always been with him, and that confidence grows with each new release. You could consider “Run! Run! Run!” as a musical thesis statement of sorts for Hukmani’s multiverse, and its flagship attributes harbor inexhaustible power. His inherent talent gives him the wherewithal to achieve this.

He doesn’t unnecessarily stretch the song out. Everything is in its right place, and he doesn’t waste listeners’ time with unneeded tinsel. Each part of “Run! Run! Run!” is fully functional rather than serving as hollow window dressing. Let’s hope he gets the chance to deliver this song in a live setting as it will only gain more power and luster from a concert performance.

I’ve followed this artist since the beginning of his global success, and I’ll continue sticking with him. There is no one else working on the cutting edge of possibility like Vineet Singh Hukmani and there’s an inescapable feeling that he’s still hardly scratched the surface of what he can do. I’m thrilled there’s artists in the world still who observe no arbitrarily enforced limits but, instead, grab their dreams by the throat and manifest them for their audience. “Run! Run! Run!” is an excellent way to make the acquaintance of his multiverse. He will corral new legions of fans with the single and he deserves every one of them.
