Matsson wrote much of Henry St. after heading out on tour in 2021. “When I’m in motion, I can focus on my instinct, have my daydreams again. When I was finally able to tour again, I started writing like a madman,” he said in a statement. The album was produced by Sylvan Esso’s Nick Sanborn, and features contributions from Ryan Gustafson (guitar, lap steel, ukulele), TJ Maiani (drums), CJ Camerieri (trumpet, French horn), Phil Cook (piano, organ), Rob Moose (strings), and Adam Schatz (saxophone).
Last year, the Tallest Man on Earth shared a collection of covers called Too Late for Edelweiss.
