HBO Max’s hit medical drama The Pitt is expanding its cast for Season 2. The upcoming season will not only feature several familiar faces in recurring roles but also four new cast members, including a star from Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer.
The HBO Max intense, real-time drama The Pitt has reportedly added actors Meta Golding, Luke Tennie, Christopher Thornton, and Travis Van Winkle to its cast for recurring roles in the highly anticipated Season 2, according to Deadline.
Golding will play Noelle Hastings, a nurse working at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center. Tennie takes on the role of Dr. Crus Henderson, a fourth-year resident assigned to the night shift at PTMC. Thornton plays Dr. Caleb Jefferson, a psychiatric attending physician, while Van Winkle appears as Curtis Larson, an aggressive patient who comes into the emergency room.
These additions join previously announced Season 2 cast members, including Sepideh Moafi as a series regular, along with recurring appearances from Charles Baker, Irene Choi, Laëtitia Hollard, Lucas Iverson, Lawrence Robinson, Brittany Allen, Bonita Friedericy, Taylor Handley, and Jeff Kober.
From creator R. Scott Gemmill and producer John Wells, The Pitt centers on the intense realities faced by frontline healthcare workers inside the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center.
Told in a real-time format, the show follows doctors and nurses hour by hour as they juggle overwhelming patient loads, limited resources, and personal crises inside the emergency department.
The Pitt Season 2 is set to premiere on January 8, 2026, and takes place 10 months after the events of the Season 1 finale. This time, the story happens during a Fourth of July weekend, continuing the show’s signature compressed timeline and pressure-cooker storytelling.
Season 1 proved to be a major success, earning 13 Emmy nominations and winning five awards, including Outstanding Drama Series. Wyle won for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, with additional acting wins for LaNasa and Hatosy.
