Sentai has announced that Teasing Master Takagi-san: The Movie will be coming to theaters in North America for a limited period next month.

The anime film will play in select theaters on August 14 and 15, and you can currently book tickets on Sentai’s official website. It’s a follow-up to the beloved anime series of the same name, so you may want to watch the series before seeing the movie.
Series veteran Hiroaki Akagi is directing the film, while returning writers Hiroko Fukuda, Aki Itami, and Kanichi Katou are penning the script. Shin-Ei Animation is handling the animation for the movie.

“Takagi and Nishikata’s final summer in junior high is about to begin, and it’s already off to a heartwarming start,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “When the pair find an abandoned kitten, they decide to work together and take care of their adorable new companion until they can locate its missing mother. What follows is the true beginning of this moving story of young love, complete with the delightful teasing and hilarious antics fans have come to expect from this beloved series and its cast of fan-favorite characters.”
