Paramount Pictures and Miramax have finally unveiled the first two actors who will be joining the Scary Movie 6 cast for the long-awaited next installment to the iconic horror comedy franchise. The project hails from the creative team of Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, and Keenan Wayans.
Who are joining the Scary Movie 6 cast?
After nearly two decades, Anna Faris (Mom) and Regina Hall (Girls Trip) have officially signed on to reprise their respective roles as Cindy Campbell and Brenda Meeks in Scary Movie 6. Their iconic characters were last seen by fans in 2006’s Scary Movie 4, which was the franchise’s third highest-grossing installment to date. At the moment, further details about its plot are still being kept under wraps. It’s also unclear if Marlon and Shawn Wayans would also appear in the new movie.
“We can’t wait to bring Brenda and Cindy back to life and be reunited with our great friends Keenen, Shawn and Marlon — three men we’d literally die for (in Brenda’s case, again),” Faris and Hall said in a statement (via Variety).
Scary Movie 6 will be directed by Michael Tiddes from a screenplay written by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, and Rick Alvarez. Marlon Wayans previously collaborated with Tiddes in several movies, including A Hounted House, Fifty Shades of Black, Naked, and Sextuplets. The Wayans brothers are also producing alongside Alvarez. The project will be executive produced by Jonathan Glickman, Alexandra Lowey and Thomas Zadra.
The newest installment is currently slated to arrive in theaters on June 12, 2026.
