Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde have managed to keep their relationship largely out of the paparazzi’s lens, but on Tuesday, a photographer captured proof that Wilde and Styles are thriving over a year into dating. The couple was photographed in an Italian village while on a “romantic getaway,” as the photo agency described it. “The couple looked happy as they took a stroll in the hazy Italian sunshine and even stopped to talk to fans who recognized them during their walk,” the agency added.
Styles showed his love of the country by wearing Italy’s red, green, and white flag colors on his flashy shorts. He let them be the statement piece of his outfit, pairing them with a neutral white shirt and sneakers. Wilde opted for a more classic vacation look: jean shorts with a white ruched tank and bomber jacket. She accessorized with white sneakers and brown round sunglasses.
In March, a source gave Entertainment Tonight a rare update on Wilde and Styles’s romance. “They’re well past the ‘crush’ and infatuation phase and are solid partners,” the source said. “They’re the real deal.”
“While they have busy schedules and a lot of personal commitments, they make a point to prioritize time with each other,” the source continued. “They are pretty low-key and really just love spending time together along with their families and friends.”
As an indication of how serious things have gotten between Wilde and Styles, Styles’s mother has met Wilde and Wilde’s 7-year-old son Otis and 5-year-old daughter Daisy. “Harry’s mother adores Olivia and her kids! Their families have blended so seamlessly,” the source said.
Styles and Wilde have not spoken about their romance privately, but Wilde has praised Styles’s acting, as they worked together on her upcoming film Don’t Worry Darling.
When the film wrapped, Wilde devoted an Instagram post to Styles in addition to other cast members. She wrote of Styles in February 2021, “Little known fact: most male actors don’t want to play supporting roles in female-led films. The industry has raised them to believe it lessens their power (i.e financial value) to accept these roles, which is one of the reasons it’s so hard to get financing for movies focusing on female stories. No joke, it is harrrrrd to find actors who recognize why it might be worth it to allow for a woman to hold the spotlight. Enter: @harrystyles, our ‘Jack’ . Not only did he relish the opportunity to allow for the brilliant @florencepugh to hold center stage as our ‘Alice’, but he infused every scene with a nuanced sense of humanity. He didn’t have to join our circus, but he jumped on board with humility and grace, and blew us away every day with his talent, warmth, and ability to drive backwards. #dontworrydarling.”
