What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write The Ring?
I had sold my business and decided to give myself time to find out what I wanted to do with my life. So I decided to wait and give myself time, even though I just wanted to move on to the next job. I went to India to meditate and on my way home on the plane I had the most amazing experience. I was looking out the window and suddenly it was like I was watching a movie. I saw the the In-Between and some of the characters. I guess it took about ten minutes but I just knew this was the story I was going to write.
If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of The Ring, what would they be?
There is a Place from the album: Joys of Stillness: Where meditation meets god
What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
I love personal development stories. I write both fiction and non-fiction and they are always full of personal development.
What books are on your TBR pile right now?
There are so many. Atlas of the heart with Brene Brown and What Happend To You with Oprah and Dr. Perry.
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
If I tell I will reveal too much…
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
No I don’t think so. I do tend to play the same playlist though.
Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?
Easy is right (I will explain that in the third book of the In-Between series).
If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?
There might be more to life than you know right now. Be curious. Be brave. And listen to your heart.
