What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Wizardoms: A Sundered Realm?
The warm reception of my bestselling Fate of Wizardoms series came with a reader demand for more from the characters they had grown to love. At the same time, there were many more stories to be told in that world, so I set out to write a follow up series. This is the 6th and final book in the Fall of Wizardoms series, concluding the second arc of a 12-book saga inspired by the likes of Wheel of Time, The Witcher, and The Lord of the Rings.
If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of Wizardoms: A Sundered Realm, what would they be?
Dare you to move by Switchfoot.
What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
Fantasy – mostly epic fantasy, which is why I write in the same genre.
What books are on your TBR pile right now?
OMG. There are so many, my Kindle is ready to explode.
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
Comedic moments tend to be my favorites, but in this book, I had a lot of fun with an epic confrontation between the heroes and a mighty villain attempting to raise himself to godhood.
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
I rarely write at a desk. Instead, I write in a lounge chair, on a sofa, in an airplane, in a hotel room, or anywhere else I happen to go.
Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?
Believe, make an effort, and it’ll all work out.
If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?
Hope is a valuable commodity. Hold onto it like a lifeboat amid stormy seas.
