God Storys by Victorya Wright
Offers a beautiful perspective on grace at work.
From a remote Italian village where a chance reunion bridges generations, to a sunlit California beach where a stranger’s kindness sparks a lifelong bond, God Storys offers an awe-inspiring odyssey through moments that defy mere coincidence.
In this compilation of 30 true-life vignettes, Victorya Wright shares her personal encounters with the divine, inviting readers to see that what we often call “happenstance” might just be a higher power at work. The result is a moving tapestry of faith-filled stories — or “God-instances,” as Wright calls them — each one illustrating how God’s presence can shine through even the most ordinary circumstances.
Wright opens the collection by asking the reader directly: Do you have a personal mantra that guides you? Have you ever felt God’s presence so strongly that it seemed as if He was right beside you? These reflective questions set the tone for the book’s warm, conversational style.
She recalls that since childhood, she’s constantly prayed for His guidance in a simple, heartfelt plea that becomes a refrain throughout her life’s adventures. Armed with this trusting faith, Wright approaches every story in the book — from dramatic travels abroad to quiet everyday encounters — with an openness to God’s guidance.
Notably, the very title, God Storys, uses an unconventional spelling. Wright explains that she chose “Storys” instead of “Stories” because she felt divinely led to do so, a small yet sincere reminder that these accounts are set apart as something special.
Faithful Adventures and Divine Encounters
The 30 vignettes in God Storys span decades of Wright’s life and take readers across the globe. Each story stands on its own, yet together they paint a portrait of a woman navigating life with an intrepid, God-centered faith.
In one captivating chapter, an impromptu trip to Southern Italy becomes a “God-venture” that leads Wright to long-lost relatives in a hilltop town and to a humble church where centuries-old martyrs seem to whisper lessons of courage into her heart. In another, a one-time visit to the little-known nation of Brunei blossoms into a decades-long connection, as if God had woven an unexpected friendship across continents for a greater purpose.
Wright’s stories aren’t limited to far-flung travels or dramatic revelations; many unfold in the midst of everyday life. A forgotten document found at just the right moment, a “coincidental” run-in with an old friend who delivers a timely message, a sudden inner nudge to take a detour that averts disaster — time and again, these narratives show God’s hand gently guiding events behind the scenes.
Some tales will bring a smile or even a laugh — Wright isn’t afraid to highlight the divine sense of humor in her journey. Other stories move the soul, as she confronts painful rifts or moments of loneliness with unflinching honesty, only to find grace waiting on the other side. The emotional range of the collection is broad, but the through-line is consistent: every experience, no matter how ordinary or extraordinary, carries a spark of God’s love.
Heartfelt Storytelling with a Purpose
Part of what makes God Storys so engaging is Victorya Wright’s genuine, down-to-earth voice. She writes as if she’s across the table from you, sipping coffee and recounting her latest miracle with excitement in her eyes. The narration is vivid and personable — rich with the textures of each setting and the emotions of each moment, yet always accessible and unpretentious.
Her style carries the rhythm of a seasoned storyteller: at times warmly humorous, and at times reverent and reflective, especially when she pauses to recognize God’s guidance at critical junctures. You can feel her awe in a quiet moment of prayer, or her gratitude when a long-awaited answer finally arrives. These sincere reflections never come off as preachy. Instead, Wright lets the events speak for themselves, gently underscored by her faith. She has a knack for drawing meaning from the mundane, helping us see the “big picture” without ever losing the human touch of the small story.
Beyond recounting personal adventures, Wright weaves in spiritual insights that resonate on a universal level. Many readers will find themselves nodding along with her lessons — like the importance of listening to that still, small voice of intuition, or the power of persistence in prayer. By sharing her own doubts, triumphs and even missteps, she creates a safe space for readers to ponder their own spiritual walk. There’s a curious, open-hearted tone throughout the book, as Wright remains humbly aware that she is a “daughter of the Most High King” and yet also an ordinary person learning and growing through each experience. This humility and authenticity make the stories all the more credible and uplifting.
By the final chapter of God Storys, one can’t help but feel encouraged and comforted. Wright’s compilation of faith-filled tales serves as a gentle reminder that perhaps our lives are full of little miracles, if only we have the eyes to see them.
As you read, you may start recalling moments in your own life that carried an uncanny timing or an unexpected blessing — the kinds of moments that, in hindsight, feel like much more than coincidence. Wright’s hope, which shines through every page, is that her readers will come away more attuned to these moments and more confident in God’s unfailing care.
God Storys is an inspiring celebration of faith in action, memory and meaning. It’s the kind of book that uplifts the spirit without sugar-coating the realities of life. Wright acknowledges that challenges and unanswered questions are part of the journey, but her stories testify that hope and purpose can always be found when we invite God into the narrative.
Warm, heartfelt and imbued with a sense of wonder, God Storys will speak to anyone longing to be reassured that they are never alone. Whether you are firm in your beliefs or seeking a renewed sense of connection, this collection of “God stories” offers a beautiful perspective on grace at work. By the end of the book, don’t be surprised if you feel motivated to start journaling your own God-guided moments — because as Victorya Wright lovingly shows, every life is a story God can use, and every day holds the potential for a miracle.
