Apple Original Films has set the Killers of the Flower Moon release date for acclaimed director Martin Scorsese’s next movie.
THR is reporting that the highly anticipated Leonardo DiCaprio-led Western crime drama will be opening in limited theaters on October 6, followed by its wide release on October 20. It will then stream globally through Apple TV+.
“When oil is discovered in 1920s Oklahoma under Osage Nation land, the Osage people are murdered one by one — until the FBI steps in to unravel the mystery,” reads the film’s synopsis.
Killers of the Flower Moon once again reunites Scorsese with long-time collaborators Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro. Joining them are Oscar winning actor Brendan Fraser, Jesse Plemons, Lily Gladstone, Tantoo Cardinal, Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, Louis Cancelmi, William Belleau, Tatanka Means, Michael Abbott Jr., Pat Healy, Scott Shepherd, and more.
Killers of the Flower Moon is being directed and produced by Scorsese from a screenplay he co-wrote with Eric Roth. It is a production by Apple Studios, Imperative Entertainment, and Appian Way Productions, with Dan Friedkin and Bradley Thomas.
