She’s been the standout style star of 2022, and Florence Pugh‘s string of red carpet show-stoppers continues to wow us. The actor attended the 25th British Independent Film Awards in London on Dec. 4 wearing a pink slip dress underneath a voluminous pink ruffled cape that she struggled to fit into the car transporting her to the event.
The pale-pink Rodarte dress included a thigh-high slit with lace trimming and a silk organza rose pinned at the neckline. A dramatic tulle ruffled cape took the ensemble up a level, teamed with gold Aquazzura heels that tied around the ankle, pink drop earrings, and a matching Tiffany & Co. necklace. The “Don’t Worry Darling” star was styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray, who continues to nail red carpet briefs.
From Corbin-Murray’s Instagram video of a dressed-up Pugh, featuring the caption “Boudoir Baby ,” it was clear the look resembled negligee, thanks to the silk satin fabric, floral lace, and bias cut. The video also hilariously showed Pugh taking up a whole elevator with the extra-long cape and trying to fit the outfit into the aforementioned vehicle.
Pugh’s hair, styled by Peter Lux, was slicked back and flicked out at the ends, while Alex Babsky opted for classic black eyeliner and peach tones on the cheeks and lips. Emily Rose completed the look by adding burgundy nails.
Pugh has been rocking the naked dress recently, having stepped out in a number of sheer looks, including a Victoria Beckham number at the Governors Awards and a Valentino see-through gown at the London Film Festival. While this latest look might not have been as sheer, Pugh certainly commanded attention on the red carpet as her long cape trailed behind her.
She joined the likes of other fashion favorites for the evening, with Daisy Edgar-Jones, Jenna Coleman, and Aimee Lou Wood all bringing their style A games. See the best looks of the night, including all angles of Pugh’s moment, ahead.
