Miss Night and Day episode 9 aired on Saturday, July 13, 2024, on JTBC and Netflix. It stars Jung Eun-Ji, Lee Jung-Eun, and Choi Jin-Hyuk in lead roles. The K-drama revolves around a young woman named Lee Mi-Jin who transforms into her 50-year-old self during the day. Using her missing aunt’s name Im Sun, she works at prosecutor Gye Ji-Ung’s office.
In the previous episode, top star, Ko Won (Baek Seo-Hoo), formed a strong bond with Im Sun as he discovered her secret. While he vowed to protect her truth, Ji-Ung became jealous of their equation. The instalment ended with the prosecutor confessing his feelings to Mi-Jin and her leaning towards him to share their first kiss.
Miss Night and Day episode 9 begins with Mi-Jin opening her eyes in the middle of the kiss. Things get awkward between them as Ji-Ung puts his hand between their lips. Embarrassed, she crashes into her friend, Ga-Yeong’s place and reveals the incident to her. The two end up laughing their hearts out. Furthermore, Mi-Jin and Ji-Ung bump into each other again the same night.
What happens in Miss Night and Day Episode 9?
In Miss Night and Day episode 9, Ji-Ung is upset with his reaction to Mi-Jin’s attempted kiss. He distracts his mind by focusing on the case of serial missing and killing incidents. His suspicion of Baek Cheol-Gyu leads to a new update. The next day, Im Sun and Ji-Ung are silent in the office. The prosecutor becomes surprised to see the former’s cold shoulder towards him.
Later, at lunchtime, Im Sun and Ko Won eat together, and the latter playfully teases her. Although Mi-Jin and Ko Won are of the same age, she is the 50-year-old Im Sun to the spectators. Ji-Ung’s subordinate Byeong-Deok witnesses the two and finds their interactions weird. Meanwhile, the prosecutor’s boss lashes out at him for ordering the police to reopen the investigation related to the serial missing and killing incidents. At night, fate brings Mi-Jin and Ji-Ung in front of each other again.
Choi Jin-Hyuk gets jealous of Jung Eun-Ji and Baek Seo-Hoo
By coincidence, Mi-Jin, Ga-Yeong, Ji-Ung, and Byeong-Deok end up having dinner together. Byeong-Deok asks a hypothetical question to Mi-Jin about top star Ko Won confessing his feelings to her. This makes Ji-Ung jealous and he lashes out at his subordinate. Ga-Yeong senses his jealousy, and therefore pushes the discussion further so that he can realize his feelings for Mi-Jin. Later that night, when dropping them home, Mi-Jin makes her feelings clear for the prosecutor.
The following day, Byeong-Deok is shocked again after witnessing Ko Won and Im Sun’s closeness. He suspects that the 50-year-old and the young top star are romantically involved with each other. Meanwhile, Ji-Ung finds a body floating on a reservoir where he initially suspected foul play. As the news breaks out, Baek Cheol-Gyu calls someone, making him look suspicious.
At the office, Im Sun learns about the body and discovers that it is one of the senior citizen interns. After sharing the news with colleagues, she follows Cheol-Gyu to the parking. She notices the number plate and recalls that she saw it the night of the murder. She tries to tell Byeong-Deok about it but it was Mi-Jin who witnessed it. Therefore, as Im Sun, she fails to make a convincing argument.

Miss Night and Day episode 9 further shows Ji-Ung’s anger after his boss cancels a warrant against Cheol-Gyu. He seeks Byeong-Deok and Im Sun’s help to work on the case. The trio plans to secretly look into some medical documents at Cheol-Gyu’s hospital.
On the other hand, Cheol-Gyu rushes to his hospital with an intense expression after learning that Im Sun is at his workplace. After arriving there, the suspect orders a chase to find the middle-aged lady. Meanwhile, Im Sun finds her way into Cheol-Gyu’s office and looks for evidence. He enters his office, assuming he will find her. In that moment, a nurse hands him Im Sun’s blood results, which shocks him. Her blood type says O positive but the Im Sun he is searching for has A positive blood type. Will Cheol-Gyu learn Mi-Jin/Im Sun’s secret?
