We may still be in the middle of the summer, and most shows are just getting back into production (or will be soon), but networks are already looking ahead to the 2024-2025 season. And that means unveiling premiere dates for their fall 2024 shows. Those premieres usually air across September, October, and November, and this year is shaping up to follow that pattern.
NBC kicked off the announcements, with premiere dates starting on September 23 (returning The Voice and new drama Brilliant Minds), going through October, and running until November 19 (Night Court). All the usual favorites—such as all three One Chicagos and two Law & Orders (with Organized Crime moving to Peacock, Found is taking its timeslot)—are on the schedule. It also includes new comedies Happy’s Place and St. Denis Medical, which will be premiering with back-to-back episodes. Then came ABC‘s, beginning on September 17 with Dancing With the Stars and High Potential, and running through October 18 with Shark Tank. Its lineup also includes 9-1-1, Ryan Murphy’s new series Doctor Odyssey, Grey’s Anatomy, and Abbott Elementary.
CBS‘ premieres begin with Survivor on September 18 and include “Sneak Peeks” of new drama Matlock, starring Kathy Bates, on Sunday, September 22, and new action-adventure reality competition series The Summit on Sunday, September 29, before the second episodes of both air in October. The network’s official premiere week comes October 14, kicking off with NCIS and the prequel NCIS: Origins and including the start of the last episodes of Blue Bloods—its 14th and final season was split into two parts, with the first airing this past spring.
And Fox‘s premieres begins with the new animated comedy Universal Basic Guys on Sunday, September 8, following an NFL doubleheader. New lifeguard drama Rescue: HI-Surf, will also premiere after football on Sunday, September 22. It will then move into its regular time slot after the 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 premiere on Monday, September 23. New drama Murder in a Small Town gets a 90-minute series premiere on Tuesday, September 24 at 8/7c, and anthology series Accused returns with its second season a week later.
