The Hunting Party Season 1 Episode 8 Spoilers: Oliver, Bex and Hassani Investigate The Experiments at Silo 12

That was some cliffhanger. There is nothing like finding a trail of blood and illegal experiments to unite rivals to discover the truth.

Spoilers for The Hunting Party Season 1 Episode 8 hint that Oliver, Bex, and Hassani continue their investigation to learn who conducted the experiments in Silo 12 and what they intended to use the prisoners for.

Additionally, this week’s serial killer becomes dangerous because he adopts another inmate’s style of killing as a way of honoring her.

The Student Becomes the Master and Adopts Another Prisoner’s Killing Style

This episode may answer some more questions about the Pit. In the previous episodes, we’ve never seen the prisoners interact much.

However, this week’s serial killer is almost like a copycat and mimics an infamous prisoner, Denise Glenn, portrayed by Janet Kidder. (Star Trek: Discovery)

The killer uses wire to string up their victims, which looks disturbing in the promo. The killer or the victims could be interested in music as it looks like a cello string.

It’s worth noting that Denise Glenn is still in prison, and Oliver accompanies Bex to question her.

Oliver isn’t usually involved in the investigation beyond the initial briefing, so I wonder if he knew Denise from the Pit.

She sounds so proud that her protege picked up where she left off. Again, we wonder how Denise met her protege.

Bex makes it sound like the killer is finishing Denise’s agenda and her targets, so we’re curious how they established a relationship and kept in touch once this prisoner escaped the Pit.

This will be a different kind of case because Bex will have to profile Denise Glenn to learn her master plan, and the team has to stop the new killer before he hurts more people.

    We’re excited for this one.

Oliver, Bex, and Hassani Search For Answers About Silo 12

Having the trio investigate Silo as the cliffhanger of The Hunting Party Season 1 Episode 7 worked perfectly since it guaranteed it would be a meaty storyline for this episode.

Watching uneasy alliances is always entertaining because Hassani doesn’t trust Oliver, but Oliver is the one with access to the Silos, so he’s forced to if he wants answers.

Bex will likely have to mediate since finding answers is more important than past grudges.

It almost looks like the trio travels somewhere to get answers since they seem to be in a suite, and Shane is not there.

I suspect they started with discerning who watched the experiments, which was likely military. It’s possible the military wanted these prisoners for a special reason.

    (David Astorga/NBC)

Looking back, the room in Silo 12 was used to administer the drug to Richard Harris on The Hunting Party Season 1 Episode 1 and when Dr. Dulles brought back Dr. Malak on The Hunting Party Season 1 Episode 4.

Those were both pivotal events, and those were massive serial killers. We’re anxious to know the government’s motives and if they’re trying to cure them or build superkillers.

Bex Must Decide Who She Trusts As More Secrets Get Revealed

Bex is in a tight spot because almost everyone keeps something from here. Honesty and being on the same side are imperative in the field.

She stated that she knows Hassani and Shane would have her back during missions, but things are getting more complicated.

Things might change between her and Shane if she learns his secret. While we believe his intentions are honorable, what if he’s protecting a family member who’s also a prisoner?

    (David Astorga/NBC)

Things are never black and white, and she knows that from dealing with Oliver. They’ve gotten closer, and she’s let him in slowly as time has passed.

Bex still has difficulty trusting him because she witnessed his darkest moment, but she also sees the good in him.

We all know that Bex is Oliver’s weak spot, and he hasn’t told her yet about what that military woman has on him.

Could that woman be part of the military armed force behind the breach? She seemed eager to approach the attorney general and stop Hassani from snooping.

We don’t know what Hassani is hiding, but he hesitates to tell Bex everything because of her loyalty to Oliver.

    (David Astorga/NBC)

Bex’s relationships are a mess but a fun mess.

When Will We Learn Shane’s True Intentions?

After Shane admits it’s complicated, it’s pretty clear he’s not Dr. Dulles’s son. However, he didn’t look nervous about running into Sarah Dulles at the end of The Hunting Party Season 1 Episode 7.

He seemed open to sharing information with her, but the Pit is top secret, so he could have another version prepared.

We suspect Shane did have family in the Pit. Perhaps Dr. Dulles worked with them, and he’s the only one who could give Shane answers.

Shane doesn’t seem malicious, so it’s doubtful he meant to hurt Dr. Dulles.

We’re excited to learn more about what motivated him since Shane is still a mystery. We don’t know when Sarah or Dr. Dulles appear again, but this has been one of our favorite arcs.

Over to you, The Hunting Party Fanatics. What are you excited to see on “Denise Glenn”?

What will Oliver, Bex, and Hassani learn about Silo 12? Where did Denise meet her protege in the Pit?

We’d love to hear your thoughts, so please share them in the comments.

The Hunting Party airs at 10/9c on Mondays on NBC and Peacock the next day.
