Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 5 is almost here, and Stabler’s (Christopher Meloni) going to be in some serious danger.
The drama will premiere on Peacock with the first two episodes on April 17 (so still airing on Thursdays), with new episodes streaming weekly. (The first will also air on NBC that night, in its old time slot of 10/9c.) The season will consist of 10 episodes. The streaming service has also released a trailers, photos, and key art.
The previously released trailer begins with Stabler in confession. “I have promised people that I would save them, but I have not been keeping my word,” he says. That’s not his only sin.
The trailer also introduces the investigation of the season (a serial killer), teases one of the team in trouble, Stabler’s son Eli (Nicky Torchia) now an NYPD officer, and Stabler’s car being T-boned. “Do not make me bury you,” his mother, Bernadette (Ellen Burstyn), tells him in the hospital.
The newest teaser (which you can watch above) shows Benson (SVU‘s Mariska Hargitay) at Stabler’s hospital bedside.
This will be the first season on Peacock after airing the first four on NBC. Meloni stars as Detective Elliot Stabler, whom viewers met on Law & Order: SVU and who returned to New York after a decade abroad to rebuild his life following the devastating personal loss of his wife. He’s now the lead detective in Sergeant Ayanna Bell’s (Danielle Moné Truitt) Organized Crime Control Bureau, where he works to dismantle New York’s most vicious and violent illegal enterprises while fending off dangers that often follow him home. Joining them are undercover expert Bobby Reyes (Rick Gonzalez) and tech genius Jet Slootmaekers (Ainsley Seiger). While on assignment, Stabler leans on his brother Randall (Dean Norris) to keep the Stabler family safe and thriving.
Season 5 delves into the dangerous worlds of cross-border smuggling, high-tech domestic terrorism, and a crime family intent on repaying Stabler for the injury he did to them in Rome. As his worlds collide, Stabler will put everything on the line to protect the vulnerable and fight for justice.
