Shygirl has released her new single “Coochie (A Bedtime Story).” The track arrives with a new music video from director Samuel Ibram, which follows the English vocalist in transit from a bus stop onto a horse-drawn carriage and eventually to the beach. Video footage of Shygirl singing along to the track is edited together with clips from anime films and superimposed with 3D characters. Watch below.
Shygirl’s debut album Nymph is out September 30 via Because Music. The album will include singles “Firefly” and the Arca-produced “Come for Me,” and feature guest contributions from Mura Masa, Arca, Sega Bodega, BloodPop®, Vegyn, Danny L Harle, and Kingdom.
In April, Shygirl made an appearance in the video for “Papi Bones,” a collaborative track with FKA twigs. She has also collaborated with Mura Masa on the songs “Bbycakes” and “Hollaback Bitch.”
