Mika Yamamori’s Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki (In the Clear Moonlit Dusk) Vol. 10 hits No. 1 on Billboard Japan’s Book Hot 100, on the chart released Jan. 22.
The Japan Book Hot 100 is a comprehensive chart combining physical sales, e-books, library loans, subscription data, and social media activity. This week’s No. 1, Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki Vol. 10, comes in at No. 1 in e-books, No. 2 in physical stores, and No. 15 in EC (e-commerce), landing within the top 20 across three metrics. The series is a romantic story centered on a boy and a girl both nicknamed “Prince,” and a TV anime adaptation has been airing since January.

This week also sees the announcement of the winners of the 174th Akutagawa Prize and Naoki Prize. The Akutagawa Prize was jointly awarded to Toki no Ie by Makoto Toriyama and Sakebi by Ushio Hatakeyama, while the Naoki Prize went to Cafe no Kaerimichi by Teru Shimazu. Among them, Cafe no Kaerimichi makes a notable jump, climbing to No. 18 from outside the top 20 last week.
