Magdalena Bay have announced a new deluxe version of their 2021 debut album Mercurial World. Mercurial World Deluxe is out September 23 via Luminelle Recordings. It features outtakes, remixes, and alternate versions of songs from the original album. The Los Angeles duo has also unveiled a new track from the release. “The Deluxe is a miss mosh of sorts, an amalgamation of new songs that didn’t originally fit the flow of Mercurial World, of reimagined versions of existing album tracks by us and some talented remixers, plus some special secrets,” the band shared in a statement. “When we started working on the Deluxe, we wanted it to flow like the original album did. These secrets tie the record together in a cool way, we can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
Magdalena Bay’s debut album, Mercurial World, was released in October 2021, following their 2020 EP A Little Rhythm and a Wicket Feeling. In the buildup to the LP, the band shared videos for their singles “Chaeri,” “Secrets (Your Fire),” “You Lose!,” and “Hysterical Us.”
