Lorde has launched a new artist-curated station on Sonos Radio called Solarsystym. It features selections from Lorde, as well as clips of the New Zealand singer looking back at her life and career, from her teenage years and early career to the present day, and the moments and artists that inspired her. Listen to a station sample on Mixcloud below.
In a statement about the new station, Lorde said:
Solarsystym is like stepping into my brain, giving listeners a front row seat to the songs that have meant a ton to me and my life. It is a collection of forms, gravitationally bound, a handful of planets, dozens, more dwarf planets, and countless little rocks. All reflecting light from a sun. These are the forms that have altered my course for better.
Artists that have launched Sonos Radio stations include Erykah Badu, Brian Eno, D’Angelo, FKA twigs, Björk, and Thom Yorke, among others. Lorde is currently on a world tour; last month she performed a cover of Rosalía’s “Hentai” at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
