Rodarte, the Los Angeles fashion brand founded by sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy, has once again enlisted a slate of artists to model its latest clothing line, including Joanna Newsom, Paramore’s Hayley Williams, Japanese Breakfast’s Michelle Zauner, Kilo Kish, and Maggie Rogers. Dubbed “friends of Rodarte,” the musicians showcased the fashion brand’s PS23 collection through photographs of them wearing the dresses at home. Actors Kirsten Dunst, Natasha Lyonne, Stephanie Hsu, Taylour Paige, and Lili Reinhart were also tapped to model Rodarte’s PS23 collection. Janicza Bravo, the director of Zola and Lemon, took part in the photo series, too.
For other collections over the years, Rodarte has asked Charli XCX, Grimes, Kathleen Hanna, Phoebe Bridgers, and Snail Mail to model original designs. Rodarte has also hired bands like Beach House and Deerhunter to score its short films.
