ICE Confirms Agents Will Be at Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show

ICE Confirms Agents Will Be at Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has confirmed it will have agents at Super Bowl LX, reports TMZ.

In a statement, the agency said, “There is no safe haven for violent criminal illegal aliens in the United States.”

The confirmation follows recent comments made by Corey Lewandowski, who currently serves as an advisor to the United States Department of Homeland Security. During an appearance on conservative commentator Benny Johnson’s The Benny Show, Lewandowski warned that ICE would have a presence at the 2026 Super Bowl, where Bad Bunny is set to perform the Halftime Show.

“There is nowhere you can provide safe haven to people who are in this country illegally,” Lewandowski told Johnson. “Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else. We will find you and apprehend you and put you in a detention facility and deport you. Know that is a very real situation under this administration, which is contrary to how it used to be.”

He also criticized the choice of Bad Bunny, saying, “It’s so shameful they’ve decided to pick somebody who seems to hate America so much to represent them at the Halftime Show. We should be trying to be inclusive, not exclusive. There are plenty of great bands and entertainment people who could be playing at that show that would be bringing people together and not separating them.”

“If there are illegal aliens, I don’t care if it’s a concert for Johnny Smith or Bad Bunny or anybody else,” he continued. “We’re going to do enforcement everywhere. We are going to make Americans safe. That is a directive from the president. If you’re in this country illegally, go home.”

For context, Bad Bunny, who is a US citizen born in Puerto Rico, recently revealed that he decided to exclude the US from his upcoming world tour out of concern that ICE could conduct raids outside of his shows. He referenced these comments on social media while announcing his Super Bowl performance, writing: “I’ve been thinking about it these days, and after discussing it with my team, I think I’ll do just one date in the United States.”
