Baz Luhrmann’s new Elvis Presley biopic, Elvis, hits theaters on June 24, but, today, you can hear Eminem’s new song for the movie. It’s called “The King and I” and it features CeeLo Green. The song is produced by Dr. Dre. That is it below.
Elvis chronicles the life and career of Elvis Presley. It stars Austin Butler as the iconic rock’n’roll figure and Tom Hanks as Presley’s infamous manager Colonel Tom Parker. In addition to “The King & I,” the film also includes a new Doja Cat song called “Vegas,” as well as Swae Lee and Diplo’s recent single “Tupelo Shuffle.”
Eminem’s most recent album, Music to Be Murdered By, came out in 2020. He’s since been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, dropped a 20th anniversary edition of The Eminem Show, and performed at the Super Bowl 2022 halftime show where he joined Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, and Snoop Dogg. During the latter event, Eminem took a knee during his performance of “Lose Yourself” in an apparent tribute to Colin Kaepernick.
