With so much good music being released all the time, it can be hard to determine what to listen to first. Every week, Pitchfork offers a run-down of significant new releases available on streaming services. This week’s batch includes new albums, mixtapes, and EPs from Rico Nasty, Ty Segall, Lil Uzi Vert, quinn, Sam Prekop & John McEntire, Icewear Vezzo, and Mozzy. Rico Nasty: Las Ruinas [Sugar Trap/Atlantic]

Las Ruinas is Rico Nasty’s first mixtape since dropping her official debut album Nightmare Vacation in December 2020. The release includes recent singles “Blow Me,” “Black Punk,” and “Intrusive,” as well as “Vaderz” (her collaboration with Bktherula) and a new remix of Fred again..’s “Jungle.” The new mixtape is consistent with the chaotic, in-your-face verses Rico Nasty has delivered since her breakthrough single “Smack a Bitch.”

Ty Segall: “Hello, Hi” [Drag City]

Ty Segall continues his reign as one of garage rock’s most prolific voice with “Hello, Hi”, a collection of fuzzy, lo-fi compositions that were largely self-recorded at the songwriter’s home in California. The follow-up to 2021’s Harmonizer was announced in April with the release of the album’s title track, and the songwriter will set out on tour in support of the album this November.
