A24 has released the official trailer for its new comedy-drama, which has recently bagged a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Club Kid is heading for the theaters following its world premiere at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.
Written and directed by Jordan Firstman, Club Kid follows Peter, a washed-up party promoter whose jaded life turns upside down when he unexpectedly becomes the guardian of his 10-year-old son Arlo, whom he never knew existed.
The movie stars Firstman as Peter, alongside Suicide Squad star Cara Delevingne as Peter’s business partner Sophie. Additional cast members include Reggie Absolom, Diego Calva, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, and Colleen Camp.
Club Kid had its world premiere at the Un Certain Regard section of the 79th Cannes Film Festival on May 15. It received a 7-minute standing ovation following its screening and was nominated for the Caméra d’Or and the Queer Palm. The movie currently has a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes with raving reviews from critics. It arrives in theaters in the U.S. on November 6.

Club Kid explores fatherhood against a nonstop New York nightlife
Club Kid, starring Jordan Firstman, also marks his directorial debut. The actor plays Peter, a New York City nightclub promoter, who is deeply immersed in the city’s nightlife scene. However, his life changes forever after he discovers that he has a 10-year-old son named Arlo, portrayed by the young actor Reggie Absolom. His partying lifestyle takes a backseat as Peter learns to care for Arlo.
The trailer promises a heartfelt drama with Peter and Arlo’s relationship at its focus. The clip shows the pair playing a song together at the piano as a montage of scenes from the movie plays. The snippets include several emotional moments between the father and the son, glimpses of Peter’s nightlife, and the challenges he is facing with his newfound responsibilities.
