The Shin Ultraman Blu-ray, digital, and DVD release date has been set. After the Japanese superhero movie releases on Digital on July 4, it will hit store shelves soon after.

When is the Shin Ultraman Blu-ray release date?

Shin Ultraman releases on Blu-ray and DVD on July 11, 2023.

“As Shin Ultraman begins, we learn the appearance of giant unidentified life forms known as ‘S-Class Species (Kaiju)’ has become commonplace in Japan,” reads the official synopsis. “The Japanese Government formed a Kaiju defense taskforce known as the SSSP, led by Kimio Tamura (played by Drive My Car’s Hidetoshi Nishijima). After a particularly challenging encounter, a silver giant descends from the sky to rescue the country. Dubbed Ultraman, this giant’s identity and purpose are a mystery.”

The movie is directed by Shinji Higuchi (Shin Godzilla, Attack on Titan). The film stars Takumi Saitoh, Masami Nagasawa, Daiki Arioka, Akari Hayami, Tetsushi Tanaka, Hidetoshi Nishijima, with Anno and Bin Furuya as Ultraman. It is distributed by Cleopatra Entertainment.
