    The hit sci-fi horror movie, Alien: Romulus, is arriving on Prime Video very soon. Directed by Fede Álvarez, the monster movie did extremely well at the box office and received immense praise from critics. Moreover, the film features a talented cast, including David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Cailee Spaeny, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and many more.

    Alien: Romulus to stream on Prime Video next month

    Alien: Romulus is all set to stream on Prime Video next month onwards.

    According to a report by Comicbook.com, fans will be able to access the movie in the streaming giant’s library from January 1, 2026.

    Alien: Romulus is a part of the esteemed Alien franchise and came out in theaters in the US on August 16, 2024. According to a report by Box Office Mojo, the movie became a big box office hit and opened with a collection of $42 million.

    In the domestic market, the R-rated monster film made around $105.3 million, whereas in the international market, it made $245.5 million. This took the total collection of Alien: Romulus to approximately $350.8 million.

    Alien: Romulus is also the third-highest rated movie from the franchise. On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie got a satisfactory score of 80 percent on Tomatometer based on 409 critic reviews. On the Popcornmeter, the movie got a score of 85 percent based on audience reviews.

    In November 2024, the movie premiered on streaming platforms. According to TooFab, in September 2025, director Fede Álvarez shared that he will not return to direct the sequel to Alien: Romulus.

    The filmmaker told the outlet, “We just finished the script, actually, for a sequel for Romulus. But I’m gonna pass the torch on this one as director. I’m going to produce it, with Ridley Scott, we’re gonna produce it together, and we’re right now trying to find a new filmmaker to come in.”
