According to the report, the series will be set within the world of Cronenberg’s film, with the brief synopsis reading, “pursued by relentless agents with unimaginable powers, two women living on the fringes of modern society must learn to work together to topple a vast conspiracy determined to bring them to heel.”

William Bridges (Black Mirror, Stranger Things) will serve as writer, executive producer, and showrunner of the series, with Yann Demange (71, Lovecraft Country) set to direct and executive produce the series. Cronenberg is also attached to the project in an executive producer role, which confirms that the legendary director will help with the series. While the series has not been fully ordered yet, this will mark the second series based on a Cronenberg project, with Amazon set to adapt his film Dead Ringers as well.
