The new Hellraiser video game is now playable on PC ahead of its official launch. The game will officially launch for modern consoles and PC this October. However, developers Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games have announced a new mode that players can access for free.
Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is now available as a free demo for PC gamers. This mode can be downloaded and installed on PCs for free via Steam. The demo mode lets gamers play through Hellraiser: Revival’s Prologue. However, progress made in demo mode will not carry over to the actual game after launch.
Alongside the announcement, the developers have also released a brand-new trailer for the game. This trailer introduces gamers to the twisted cult that tries to create a debauched paradise for humankind, also known as the Scarlet Church. Hellraiser: Revival will officially launch on October 8 on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
What’s included in the Hellraiser: Revival Steam demo?
The Hellraiser: Revival demo mode lets players experience an early stretch of this original story. In the Steam demo, players can dive into the mysterious hellscape of the Labyrinth and face off against the wicked Scarlet Church, as shown in the newly released trailer.
In the game, the story follows Aidan, who must use the power of a mysterious puzzle box known as the Genesis Configuration to help his girlfriend, Sunny, escape the hellscape of the Labyrinth.
According to Steam’s description, players can experience part of Episode 1 through the demo. Here, gamers get to play as Aidan, who must escape the clutches of the Scarlet Church, which has taken the Genesis Configuration into its possession. The demo mode also helps gamers learn the basics of combat, crafting, and puzzle-solving in preparation for the official launch.
Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is available for pre-order on PC and modern consoles for $39.99. This game also comes in a digital Deluxe version, available for pre-order at $49.99. Players who pre-order either edition of the game will get an exclusive Labyrinth Pistol Skin and Martyr Sawblade Skin in the official game. In addition to this, two special Collector’s Editions of the game are also available on the official Hellraiser website.
