During Summer Game Fest 2023, a brand new gameplay trailer for the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 ahead of its release on September 29, 2023 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Following the official announcement last month, a new trailer was shown off today, revealing what gameplay will look like in the highly anticipated fighting game. Perhaps most importantly, the game also heavily offs the Kameo Fighters system that will be in the game.

Acting similarly to assist characters in other games, these Kameo Fighters will be able to jump into battle for a moment to help with a combo or deal some extra damage. The trailer also showcased some character we hadn’t yet seen confirmed to appear in the game. These include Mortal Kombat mainstays like Jax, Goro, Kano, Stryker, and more.
