Two stars have joined the cast of Osgood Perkins’ next horror movie.
Perkins is known for directing 2024’s Longlegs and 2025’s The Monkey. Before those movies, he also helmed 2015’s The Blackcoat’s Daughter and 2016’s I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House. Additionally, he has another flick, titled Keeper, that arrives later this year.
Neon and Perkins are again partnering for another horror movie after Keeper, titled The Young People. Production on the project will begin this coming fall in Vancouver.
Who has joined the cast of Osgood Perkins’ new horror movie?
Per Variety, Perkins’ The Young People will star Nico Parker and Lola Tung.
Parker is known for playing Sarah Miller in the first episode of HBO’s The Last of Us, while she also recently portrayed Astrid Hofferson in the live-action How to Train Your Dragon remake. Additionally, she’s appeared in 2019’s Dumbo, 2021’s Reminiscence, 2024’s Suncoast, and 2025’s Bridge Jones: Mad About the Boy, while she’ll soon be seen in Maude Apatow’s feature film directorial debut movie, Poetic License, which premieres at TIFF next month.
Tung, meanwhile, plays Isabel “Belly” Conklin in Amazon Prime Video’s The Summer I Turned Pretty show. She’s been cast in another Shudder horror movie called Forbidden Fruits, which co-stars Lili Reinhart, Victoria Pedretti, and Alexandra Shipp.
The script for The Young People comes from Perkins, who also serves as a producer alongside Chris Ferguson and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones. Plot details remain under wraps at this time.
A release date for The Young People has not yet been set by Neon.
Keeper arrives in United States theaters on November 14, 2025. The cast of that movie includes She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’s Tatiana Maslany and Orphan: First Kill’s Rossif Sutherland. Both The Monkey and Longlegs, meanwhile, are currently available to stream on Hulu.
