Hulu has finally unveiled the first main cast members, who will be joining the Prison Break cast for the upcoming reboot of Fox’s hit crime drama series. This comes after the project had received an official pilot order from the streamer last December 2024.
Who is joining the Prison Break cast?
Emily Browning (Sucker Punch, American Gods), Lukas Gage (Euphoria, White Lotus) and Drake Rodger (The Winchesters) have been tapped to portray series regulars in Hulu’s Prison Break reboot. The project hails from Elgin James, who’s known as co-creator of Mayans M.C. and The Outlaws. Even though the reboot will follow a standalone story, it is still expected to take place within the same universe as the original Fox show.
Listed below are the new cast members’ official character descriptions:
- Browning plays Cassidy Collins who is an ex-soldier turned corrections officer who takes a job at one of the deadliest prisons in America.
- Gage plays Jackson, a politician from a well-to-do background in his first congressional campaign.
- Rodger plays Tommy who is an inmate at one of the deadliest prisons in America, incarcerated ten years ago.
The Hulu reboot will be executive produced by James, Dawn Olmstead, Marty Adelstein, Neal Moritz, and original creator Paul Scheuring. Further details about its plot are still under wraps. Starring Dominic Purcel and Wentworth Miller, the original Prison Break series initially ran on-air for four seasons between 2005 and 2009. Afterwards, it was followed by the TV movie titled, The Final Break. In 2017, it was revived for a fifth and final season.
