According to Deadline, the Deadpool 3 cast is expanding with the return of actresses Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna for the third outing. Production is set to start later this month, with a release date scheduled for November 8, 2024.

Hildebrand reprises her role from the previous two films as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, the antisocial and sarcastic X-Men member who can generate nuclear explosions. Kutsuna returns as Yukio, a Japanese ninja in the X-Men and the girlfriend of Negasonic Teenage Warhead in Deadpool 2.

What to Expect in Deadpool 3?

Ryan Reynolds returns as Wade Wilson / Deadpool, the foul-mouthed mercenary with elite fighting skills and accelerated healing. Starring alongside Reynolds is Hugh Jackman, who reprises his iconic role of Logan / Wolverine from the X-Men films. Plot details are currently under wraps.

Additional cast members from previous Deadpool installments set to return for the third film include Morena Baccarin as Wade’s fiancée Vanessa, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Karan Soni as Deadpool’s cab driver and sidekick Dopinder, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, and Rob Delaney as human X-Force member Peter. Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen join the cast in undisclosed roles, with the former serving as the lead villain.

Shawn Levy will direct and produce Deadpool 3. Levy, Reynolds, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese, and Zeb Wells co-wrote the script. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin previously wrote a draft of the film. Reynolds will serve as a producer along with Kevin Feige of Marvel.

Deadpool 3 will be the first film in the franchise to be released under the Disney and Marvel banner since the acquisition of 20th Century Studios. It will be rated R and serve as the first film in Phase 6 of the MCU.
