Neon has officially released the first Splitsville trailer, previewing the upcoming comedy starring Dakota Johnson and Adria Arjona.
What happens in the Splitsville trailer?
The trailer follows the story of Ashley (Arjona), a woman who has just asked for a divorce from her partner, seeking help from her friends Julie (Johnson) and Paul (Michael Angelo Covino). After discovering that their secret to happiness is an open marriage, things cross the line when Ashley’s husband Carey (Kyle Marvin) throws a wrench into their relationships.

Splitsville is directed by Covino, who also co-wrote the film alongside Kyle Marvin, both of whom star in the film. Alongside the writer and director, Splitsville also stars Dakota Johnson, Adria Arjona, Nicholas Braun, David Castañeda, O-T Fagbenle, Charlie Gillespie, and more.
“When Ashley asks for a divorce, the good-natured Carey runs to his friends, Julie and Paul, for support,” reads the synopsis. “Their secret to happiness is an open marriage; that is, until Carey crosses the line and throws all of their relationships into chaos.”
The creative team for Splitsville also includes editor Sara Shaw and cinematographer Adam Newport-Berra. The movie is produced by Covino, Ro Donnelly, Ryan Heller, Jeff Deutchman, Emily Korteweg, Marvin, and Samantha Racanelli, with Paul Barbeau and Adam Paulsen executive producing.
