Dior hosted its first-ever fashion show in Seoul, South Korea’s Ewha Womans University last week, and Dior ambassador and K-pop superstar Jisoo was at the front row. In the video above, the Blackpink singer documents her experience getting ready for and attending the show, and shares her excitement to see the fall 2022 collection in her city for the first time. The footage premieres exclusively on ELLE, along with photos of Jisoo from a special Dior shoot.
“I’m very excited and happy to see my Dior family in Seoul,” Jisoo says in Korean, with English translations provided by Dior. “I heard it’s the first time that the house is presenting a show in Korea, and the show is going to be on campus. I am so excited. I can’t wait to discover the collection [creative director] Maria Grazia created!”

Jisoo had her makeup done with Dior Beauty products and wore a look by the French fashion house to the event. “I chose this black dress for today’s show,” she explains. “By layering a top with lace details and a cute black tube top dress, I think I could show another side of Jisoo at the show. What do you think? Does it look good on me? Matching it with this cute and elegant Micro Lady Dior bag. It makes this look more chic and unique.”

Once at the show, Jisoo speaks about the venue itself, saying, “I was very impressed as soon as I saw the Dior skatepark. I was surprised that such a huge skating set was created between the school buildings. It was even more special because I could feel the energy of the skaters who performed in it.”

Her favorite looks in the show were toward the end of the collection. “It’s hard to choose just one, but I’d have to say that my all-time favorite silhouettes were the elegant and classic dresses at the end,” she says. “The leopard and rose print ones were very modern. The runway’s makeup look, created by Peter [Philips], is amazing as always. I was specifically struck by the beautiful eye makeup which matched with the Dior skatepark, and the glowing nude lips were very beautiful.”

Jisoo’s favorite part of the experience overall was, well, everything. “Seeing this beautiful collection showcased in my city for the first time was really meaningful to me,” she says at the end of her video diary. “I really enjoyed every part of it and as always, I feel inspired and full of energy.
