In case we needed any more proof that the naked dress is this summer’s most prevalent celebrity fashion trend, Latto just locked in the confirmation, strutting the 2023 BET Awards red carpet in a sultry, sheer black gown. The 24-year-old rapper — who’s nominated in the best female hip-hop artist and collaboration categories — brought a welcome dose of drama to the event with her floor-length dress, which was elevated by a thigh-high leg slit, a plunging neckline, black Giuseppe Zanotti stilettos, and an ethereal train that effortlessly floated behind her. The musician’s lacy black bra just barely peeked through the dress, adding playful flair to her statement-making ensemble.
Latto worked with longtime stylist Hottie Toddy on the look, teaming it with draping silver and black jewels to match. The musician kept her glam minimal, opting for a classic nude lip, a smoky eye design, and side-swept beach curls, which added the perfect contrast to her moody gown.
While this year’s BET Awards red carpet was dominated by stomach-baring cutouts and metallic color palettes, Latto’s leggy dress managed to stand out among other attendees and even offered a fun take on the internet’s newest sensation: the editor-approved naked dress trend. The rapper has never shied away from leaning into more skin-baring looks.
