Jennifer Lopez pulled out all the stops for a Beverly Hills party celebrating the announcement of her Jlo Jennifer Lopez shoe collection for Revolve. The 53-year-old multihyphenate will now be creating drops exclusively for the retailer, with a capsule launch that lures in her fan base with a penchant for going out. The cocktail gathering invited the likes of Chloe and Halle Bailey, Tiffany Haddish, and Christina Milian, and Lopez sourced an iridescent Julien Macdonald gown for the occasion with a thigh-high leg slit to put one of her platforms from Drop 2 — the Jenny — on full display.

While she arrived in a shaggy David Koma coat holding a mirrored clutch, Lopez eventually stripped back to pose for photos, fanning open her pleated skirt to draw attention to her glittering sequined one-shoulder bodysuit — the foundation of the design. She accessorized with a pair of custom 8 Other Reasons architectural earrings that grazed her shoulders, making for a complete ’70s-inspired moment.

The obligatory campaign that coincides with the partnership aptly stars Lopez, with Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn on hand to coordinate bombshell looks around the footwear, which is currently available to shop with prices ranging from $145-$275.

“The dress really makes the shoe pop, which is what it is really all about.”

Zangardi talks to POPSUGAR about coordinating the aesthetics of the Dennis Leupold-lensed photo series, explaining, “Jennifer loves shoes! When shooting for her footwear campaigns, we build the looks from the shoes up, and that includes the set design and her poses. Jennifer is a pro, and we’ve worked together for such a long time, that honestly it comes to her so naturally. She can bring anything to life.” His intention is always to make her feel confident while ensuring she can move easily.

In what is perhaps her most striking outfit (most pieces were sourced from Revolve to complement Lopez’s favorite shoes from the range), she layers a custom Michael Costello netted gown with a thigh-high slit over a Commando thong bodysuit, strategically fashioning her leg around the fabric to highlight an ostrich-feather-trimmed stiletto. “To me, this shot screams J Lo and the evolution of her and her brand,” Zangardi says, deeming it his personal favorite ensemble.

In yet another design to write home about, the “This Is Me . . . Now” singer shows off her toned stomach in a multi-cutout Bronx and Banco sequined dress that has a liquid effect. The bodice is made up of just two thin strips of fabric, positioned into a cross shape and baring a whole lot of skin. Lopez works the look with sandals that boast a crystal-embellished, sculptural platform, standing tall at six inches. “The dress really makes the shoe pop, which is what it is really all about,” Zangardi expresses. Her Calle boot moment rounds out the sequence, as they’re played up by a fringe-finished catsuit from Norma Kamali.

Lopez’s hair is slick straight, her eyes glimmer with a thick smoky cat eye, and her lips are frosted, making for a glam moment that pays homage to the early aughts. She also wears chunky statement jewelry, including architectural earrings, a cuff bracelet, and her green-stone engagement ring and wedding-band stack.

While Lopez doesn’t model the entire lineup, she certainly did her favorite pairs justice with the first looks. Plus, we received a sneak peek at the Drop 2 campaign via a naked shot of Lopez sporting exaggerated balayage pigtails, with a strappy, white leather pointed-toe sandal swung over one shoulder. Ahead, catch up on the glamour, shop some of the heels from Drop 1, then check out the range over at revolve.com.
