Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, who recently announced their engagement with some new sentimental jewelry (Lopez’s ring features a green stone, since it’s her lucky color), are now scoping out houses. To do some real-estate shopping in Beverly Hills, CA, Lopez opted for an extreme cropped sweater by Tibi and Brunello Cucinelli twill high-waisted pants. The pièce de résistance came in an ivory knit with major distressing at the hemline and a completely open back.
Lopez teamed the sold-out sweater with paper-bag-style trousers tailored at the ankle to reveal her shoes: a pair of suede R13 boots stacked with a rubber platform sole. She accessorized with a crocodile Hermès Birkin bag and thin, oversize gold hoops. Affleck, meanwhile, kept it simple in a black sweater — an unsurprising style move, as he usually sticks to basic neutrals and allows Lopez’s outfits to steal the spotlight.
Lopez, who recently launched a new Mother’s Day campaign with Coach, has been showing off a nostalgia-tinged wardrobe for casual outings with Affleck while upping the ante for public appearances. She was decked out in Gucci for a visit to the Sephora store and rocked a striking Roberto Cavalli cutout catsuit while performing onstage at the iHeartRadio Music Awards last month.
