Jennifer Lopez‘s first bikini shoot of the year captures summer in a nutshell. On Tuesday, May 31 the singer shared an Instagram of herself posing in a black string bikini by ViX Paula Hermanny. Captured poolside, the look featured a triangular top with gold beads embellishing the straps and a matching string-tie bottom. For a sultry touch, the recently-engaged star added a silky black maxi robe with a butterfly print and a pair of nude 4-inch heeled mules from her own shoe label with DSW. She accessorized with oversize Versace shield sunglasses, large gold hoops, a dainty chain necklace and butterfly ring in gold.
“Summer mode: activated,” she captioned the carousel post, which includes a video of her twirling in the playful getup. The shots are part of a campaign for Florida-based cruise line Virgin Voyages, which possibly hints at her upcoming summer plans. This swimwear shoot is the culmination of a Memorial Day weekend packed with fashion moments, as Lopez shared photos of herself outdoors in a long, printed halter top teamed with palazzo pants (a look she described as “BBQ-chic“) on Sunday, then in a red, white, and blue Valentino minidress on Monday.
While summer doesn’t start until June 21, Lopez has been preparing her warm-weather wardrobe for quite some time. This swimwear campaign comes two weeks after a Malibu, CA outing, where she bared her toned legs in a blue Gucci denim minidress for lunch with her mom and fiancé Ben Affleck. Back in January, she styled a leather bra top with white paperbag-waist trousers, perhaps in anticipation of the season.
