While TikTokers have been raving about the viral Adidas Originals x Bad Bunny Ballerinas ($273), I was initially skeptical since I usually prefer sneakers with a platform sole for an extra height boost. What I was attracted to was the retro-leaning shape and sporty twists (such as the bungee-cord laces). And with the release of the rapper’s 2025 album “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS” comes added hype — after all, he’s been partnering with Adidas on collection drops since 2021 and has introduced over 20 styles with the brand to date. Shoppers have posted everything from thorough unboxings to styling quests to dance routines (yes, really) surrounding the viral shoe — it is a ballerina, so why not attempt some ballet?

I decided that if I was going to try the new must have, I wanted the off-white, despite the more popular option being the Adidas Originals x Bad Bunny Ballerinas in Bold Gold ($241) that debuted first. There’s also the Adidas Originals x Bad Bunny Ballerinas in Black ($164), which is currently the most affordable option on the market. As someone who has major respect for Bad Bunny’s fashion sense, I also loved his dressed-down look in the accompanying campaign and figured it would be even more fun to try to pull it off from head to toe. While I didn’t follow his outfit recipe to a T, I tried to recreate it as best as I could to fully immerse myself in the Adidas x Bad Bunny world.

Ahead, I review the Adidas Originals Bad Bunny Ballerina sneakers in full — which I honestly fell deeper in love with after dressing like Bad Bunny.

About the Adidas Originals Bad Bunny Ballerina Sneakers

    • The sneakers are a representation of Puerto Rican dance culture and music, mirroring Bad Bunny’s musical evolution.
    • The silhouette is a fusion of ballet and Adidas’s iconic Taekwondo model, which was originally crafted for martial arts in the early 2000s.
    • Features include suede overlays at the toe and heel, pull-tab, bungee-cord laces, and “Benito” stitched on the side.
    • They have a rubber sole, calf leather and calf suede outer, and fabric lining.
    • While the gold colorway was introduced first, black and off-white styles were released in April 2025.

What I Like About the Adidas Originals Bad Bunny Ballerina Sneakers

I love how these sneakers reflect the retro aesthetic that’s currently on-trend, but still feel unique in that they’re shaped like ballet slippers. Of course, they’re also meant to embody the energy of music and dance (while speaking to Bad Bunny’s personal style), and I honestly feel like they accomplish this in all three colorways. While I typically tend towards platform sneakers to elongate my legs, I have to say there’s something about the feminine-meets-sporty silhouette of these shoes that made me forget all about the way in which a sneaker can bestow me some height — I think these are visually appealing because of their flat rubber sole that curves slightly upward at the midpoint, almost emphasizing the natural curvature of a foot.

The Ballerina is also incredibly easy to style. Because it looks like a ballet slipper, it works seamlessly with both breezy dresses and more androgynous pieces. I personally appreciated the elegance the shoes brought to my casual-leaning outfit — but the signature three-stripes logo complemented the rest of my pieces well, making for a more natural flow.

What to Consider Before Buying the Adidas Originals Bad Bunny Ballerina Sneakers

It’s important to note that because the Adidas x Bad Bunny Ballerina is sold out on the brand’s site, you’ll find a wide range of price points across sizes that are still available on Farfetch and at other resale destinations. Depending on your chosen colorway and sneaker size, you could be spending a difference of around $100. Being that I chose off-white, I have to mention that the suede at the toe scuffed relatively quickly. Since it’s a taupe hue, it’s hardly noticeable and can likely be removed with this Yehfhsu 2-Piece Suede Brush and Suede Eraser ($6), and you can further protect the suede trim with this Crep Protect Shoe Protector Spray ($16).

Where You Can Shop the Adidas Originals Bad Bunny Ballerina Sneakers

While the drop is currently sold out on adidas.com, you can still shop a limited stock of the Adidas Originals Bad Bunny Ballerina on Farfetch in all three colors.
