After ending a brief romantic connection, Gigi Hadid and Leonardo DiCaprio appear to still be spending time together — but they’re just friends. The pair were spotted in Milan, Italy, this week but a source told Entertainment Tonight that they are not romantically involved again.
“Gigi and Leo spent time together in Milan but they are just friends and are not dating,” the source explained.
They added, “The two get along well and were enjoying time together with friends…Gigi’s priority is her daughter and her business and that’s what she’s focusing on right now.”
The pair were photographed leaving the restaurant Casa Cipriani ten minutes apart in images published by TMZ. DiCaprio was hiding his face as he walked to his car. Hadid walked in Milan Fashion Week for Prada, and the restaurant was hosting a party of about 20 people celebrating the birthday British Vogue‘s Edward Enninful. The friends got to the restaurant at midnight and sat together at the event. The arrival of paparazzi was clearly not welcome, and Hadid allegedly attempted to hide behind her bodyguard.
Also at the scene was Kendall Jenner, who was supposedly Hadid’s real date that evening.
“Gigi was there to meet Kendall and that was her date for the night,” the source explained.
Hadid and DiCaprio were linked in September, and were reportedly dating off and on through the fall up until the Christmas holiday. DiCaprio celebrated on a yacht, while Hadid was with her family and daughter Khai. Shortly after, DiCaprio was seen with model Victoria Lamas and then 19-year-old model Eden Polani; while Hadid and the actor were never exclusive, what connection they had “fizzled” out by mid-February.
A source told People at the time, “She hasn’t seen him for a while. She just decided that she was done with him. They are at very different places in life. She prioritizes being a mom.”
The insider added, “It was never that serious anyway. It kind of just fizzled.”
