Some people pop Champagne when it’s time celebrate; Chlöe pops over to the beach for a dip in the ocean. On Jan. 26, the singer suited up in a rose-pink thongkini and launched herself off a boat to celebrate the release of her new single, “Pray It Away,” off of her debut album, “In Pieces.” “Alright, I’m jumping in honor of ‘Pray It Away’ coming out tonight,” she said in a video shared on her Instagram Stories. “‘Bout to do this. Here we go.”
Before taking the plunge, Chlöe shared a glimpse at her swimsuit: a two-piece high-waisted bikini in rosy tones with a strappy top and thong bottom. She paired the ruched look with gold bracelets and a beaded necklace in shades of cream and brown. With a group of friends cheering her on behind the camera, the “Treat Me” singer worked up the nerve to leap into the water several feet below.
“Uh oh!” she shouted before stepping up onto the rail and plunging into the cobalt-blue depths with a scream of excitement. After a few seconds, she reemerged to the sound of friends belting out whoops of joy. While her sister, Halle Bailey, is set to play Princess Ariel in the upcoming live-action adaptation of “The Little Mermaid,” Chlöe resembled the Disney princess as she swam with her cherry-red braids streaking behind her in the water.
This isn’t the first bathing suit Chlöe has pulled from her wardrobe this winter. On Jan. 2, she rang in the new year in a gold chain-mail thongkini by Natalia Fedner. She styled the glittering swimsuit with 24-karat gold platform mules by Kandee.
