Ashley Graham and husband Justin Ervin were spotted out in New York City the day after the 2023 Met Gala looking cozy and stylish. Graham, 35, was not about to let up on her Chanel accessories just yet, given the ball’s theme that paid ode to Karl Lagerfeld’s creations. She toted a quilted denim chain-strap flap bag and slipped into her crystalized logo Gucci slingbacks, which peeked out from under her flares.
The supermodel’s Jean Paul Gaultier ribbed sweater set is a different conversation in itself — with holes diagonally placed across the chest to reveal a mesh bra and cutouts that lined her hips and framed her butt, it was an edgy update to athleisure styled to perfection with the help of Emily Evans. Graham also wore architectural LAG earrings and rings of mixed metals and dark sunglasses with thick rims. A metallic curlicue ponytail holder decorated the casual chignon in her hair, and she appeared fresh faced after what’s routinely a long night of partying.
Ervin, 35, complemented his wife in relaxed mint separates, including a Fear of God Essentials hoodie and zip-off cargo pants that he tucked into ribbed socks and lace-up high-tops. His gray beanie was the final touch for a look appropriate for errands. The couple wore their wedding rings proudly as they held hands and embraced one another for a walk down the street.
Merely hours earlier, Graham had hit the red carpet in a “’90s-Chanel pink” Harris Reed corset gown that was something of an architectural masterpiece. The star continued to bring attention to the fluid designer, who’s crafted avant-garde costume pieces for Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, and, memorably, Iman at the 2021 Met Gala. Graham specified the color pink for this year’s Met moment because, as a curve model, most designers present her with all-black options, and she wanted the dress to stand for change, according to Reed’s account.
Ahead, see Graham’s post-Met outfit, which was more polished than one might expect following such a busy evening.
