“True to his fashion, Nicholas Sparks has written another novel that you won’t want to put down until the last powerful chapter is done.”
Counting Miracles is Nicholas Sparks’ latest novel — his 25th — and it is a wonderfully heart-warming read that will be heading for the big screen in an adaptation by Amazon. The New York Times bestselling author has set the story in Asheboro, North Carolina, crafting an uplifting tale of three characters whose lives unexpectedly come together.
A beleaguered old man uses the last energy he has to protect the endangered white deer from poachers in his mountain town, a former Army Ranger traces his new-found North Carolina roots after the loss of the grandmother who raised him, and a busy small-town doctor raises her two lively teenagers as a divorced mom.

The Ex-Mormon Uncovering This Enigmatic Religion’s True History

    Holy-Joe-Prophet-Seer-and-Revelator-Author-Spotlight

“I wrote this book because I had (for ten years after I left the church) a great deal of angst about ever having been a Mormon.”
A former Mormon writing a novel based on the life of the founder of this church might well be expected to produce an exposé. But Holy Joe! Prophet, Seer and Revelator is instead a heavily researched book based on firsthand information and documentation by historical characters. In this Q&A, author Just Judy takes us through what drove her to take on this 40-year-long project and, ultimately, who the true audience for this book is.

    Think-Twice-by-Harlan-Coben-author-talk

Think Twice, is proof that yes, you can always come home. For Harlan Coben — and for millions of fans — that home is beloved character Myron Bolitar, the former basketball star and sports agent Coben introduced to readers 11 books and almost 30 years ago. It’s been a minute, eight years in fact, since we’ve had an installment in the series, but Coben says, for a variety of reasons, Myron’s return to the page is timely.
“We live in times of turmoil and even though the book is, hopefully, emotional at the end, I thought being with Myron and the rest of the series characters would be comforting,” he says, in an interview with BookTrib. “To be honest, I really wanted to see him again.”
    The feeling is mutual.

How Swifties, Vampires, and Subversive Digital Marketing Are Connected

Throughout the years, Anne Rice’s popular character Lestat de Lioncourt from The Vampire Chronicles has been portrayed on-screen by some of the hottest actors of their time, including Tom Cruise, Stuart Townsend, and most recently Sam Reid. This has inadvertently cemented his legacy in pop culture as a multi-generational bad boy who embodies everything we want in a vampire. Sexy, unfazed, and fearless.
Best of all, he’s been deliciously on-brand as of late … So much so that he has sunk his teeth into a real-life pop star’s fanbase. In a strange turn of events, that is wholly unsurprising given all the weird and wonderful things 2024 has given us, Taylor Swift and Lestat are now at the center of an unexpected digital feud.

Elizabeth B. White and Joanna Sliwa are historians, Holocaust scholars and co-authors of The Counterfeit Countess: The Jewish Woman Who Rescued Thousands of Poles During the Holocaust. They are to be congratulated for recognizing the significance of an unpublished memoir and bringing to light Janina Mehlberg’s extraordinary efforts to improve and save Polish lives during the WWII Nazi occupation.

James Patterson on “Holmes, Marple & Poe,” Writing and Adapting Books to Screen

    James-Patterson-Interview

James Patterson wants to clear up a myth. Contrary to popular belief, he is involved in every book bearing his well-known name — heavily. In his latest project, a collaboration with new-to-fiction writer Brian Sitts, James Patterson’s prowess is on display. With Holmes, Marple & Poe, Patterson and Sitts have taken three of the most famous names in literature and developed them into the “greatest crime-solving team of the 21-century.” Patterson and Sitts deftly combine clever crime-solving with a dollop of laugh-out-loud humor, which may come as a surprise to some of Patterson’s fans.
“I like to have fun,” he says, in an exclusive interview with BookTrib.

Enemies and Lovers: The Crown of Elfhame is a fast-paced, exciting new game of strategy, deception and betrayal set within the world of Folk of the Air. Despite the connection to the series, as Black states, “You don’t need to know anything about my books to play — you need only a troubling lack of morals and an unquenchable thirst for power.”

Feisty, middle-aged Agatha is attending the Carsely Village fete when she’s enticed to participate in an archery exhibition presented by the Anscombe Archers. Before a large crowd, Agatha nails the golden circle with her bow and arrow, but this is just the beginning.
Afterward, on a walk in the adjoining woods, she stumbles upon the body of a wealthy landowner, Sir Godfrey Pride, who has been shot with an arrow. Miraculously, Sir Godfrey is still alive. He whispers a cryptic message to Agatha and dies in her arms. Sir Godfrey had wanted to professionally meet with Agatha before his death, and now the reason for the meeting will remain a mystery along with the identity of his killer.
