What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write The Alchemy of Bridges?
I had a vision of a scene; a depressed, desperate man wandering to Coney Island. It was started as a short story but I found that I wanted to expand on the two characters and give them more life and a connection.
If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of The Alchemy of Bridges, what would they be?
“Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Simon & Garfunkel.
What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
Paranormal / Supernatural / Mystery / Detective.
What books are on your TBR pile right now?
Wrong Place, Wrong Time / The Nest / You Like it Darker.
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
The entire epilogue. It was fun to bring it all together and then I had fun writing the second half of the epilogue, although I can’t give away why!
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
If it’s daytime, it must be coffee in my Hogwarts mug. If it’s nighttime, it must be green tea in my Paris mug.
Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?
Whatever you’re going to do, do it now.
If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?
That it’s possible to change and that one person can definitely make a difference.
