Straight from its debut at CinemaCon, the latest sneak peek at James Gunn’s Superman is now online. The director (and co-CEO of DC Studios) just debuted the nearly five minute long video on his own social media channels.Much like the first teaser for the film, the real star isn’t the title character but Krypto, who Gunn has reimagined as a loyal but rambunctious puppy. In an expanded version of the scene that appeared in the initial teaser, Superman has been gravely injured and he calls Krypto to help. Instead, Krypto pounces on him, nips at him, and generally tries to play with him…

As we approach the release of Something Beautiful, the ninth studio album from Miley Cyrus, the singer has unveiled her next single. Titled “End of the World,” the escapist tune is an invitation to relinquish responsibilities and dance it out in the face of inevitable apocalypse. “End of the World” follows two existing looks into Something Beautiful; last week, Cyrus shared the album’s title track, along with a cut called “Prelude,” both of which were accompanied by glossy music videos. The visual for “End of the World” continues the sparkled showgirl aesthetic established in “Something Beautiful,” “Prelude,” and the album’s cover art, showing…

Measles kills between 1 and 3 out of every 1,000 children infected with the viral disease. But even for those who survive the illness, the long-term consequences of measles can be serious. Long after a person recovers from their acute infection, their immune system is compromised — and in rare cases, the measles virus can hide out in the nervous system, roaring back to cause a fatal disease years later. In the short term, measles, caused by a highly contagious virus, usually causes fever, respiratory symptoms like coughing, and a distinctive rash that spreads from the hairline down the body. It…
There’s never a dull moment as we approach upfronts because there’s almost always some shows in jeopardy in the lead-up to May. Last year, it was NCIS: Hawai’i, which was ultimately canceled despite being one of the most-watched shows on broadcast TV. As a diehard NCIS: Hawai’i fan, the decision from CBS to end the show without so much as a conclusion was a gutpunch. (Michael Greenberg/CBS) I’m concerned that The Equalizer will meet the same fate this season. We’re at the beginning of April, and it’s the sole CBS drama still awaiting word on its future. (Michael Greenberg/CBS) The…

Lately, no matter what I put in the morning, I seem to get it wrong. We’ve moved past wool coat season, yet the gusty winds make going without a layer impractical. Step into the sun, and suddenly, you’re too warm. And don’t even get me started on office air-conditioning—shivering through the morning, then overheating by the afternoon. Dressing for spring feels like an impossible balancing act.Silently struggling, I had resigned myself to this uncomfortable way of life for the next few months—that was until I spotted the solution. Stepping out for a stroll in central London, Harry Styles donned a…
Known as the de minimis exemption, it has been used by the Chinese shopping giants Shein and Temu to send millions of packages to the US each year duty-free, helping keep the prices of their products low for Americans. But the exemption is also important for marketplaces like eBay and Etsy that allow people in the US to buy goods from China-based sellers.Scrapping the measure may also negatively impact Amazon, which recently launched a division for affordable made-in-China products that competes directly with Temu and Shein. Amazon did not immediately respond to a request for comment.Trump tried scrapping the de…
Know Your Soul: Journeying with the Enneagram by Joseph Howell For anyone seeking healing, wholeness and deeper meaning, “Know Your Soul” is an essential tool. When psychologist and spiritual teacher Joseph Benton Howell lost his son in 2008, the bottom fell out of his world. Years later, his daughter died in her sleep following a relapse after a hard-won period of sobriety. These seismic losses shattered the coping mechanisms that had previously held Howell together. The traditional psychological and spiritual tools he had relied upon his whole adult life could not fully address the depth of grief or the existential…

One Chicago seems untouchable, but one canceled Chicago Fire spinoff from 2017 tells another story. I’m talking about Chicago Justice — the Law & Order of Chicagoland, which only had 13 episodes before NBC canned it. I loved this show and still miss it. NBC had its reasons, but I think the network made a mistake by axing this legal drama without giving it a chance to shine. (Elizabeth Morris/NBC) I Loved Chicago Justice’s Connection To The Law & Order Universe, But NBC Saw It As A Weakness Chicago Justice was the most connected of all the One Chicago shows…

Fashion’s love affair with animal prints is far from new. These striking patterns have been a staple in stylish wardrobes since the 1940s, when Christian Dior introduced leopard print to its collection, cementing it as the most iconic of all animal prints. Fast forward to the end of 2024, and leopard print saw a major resurgence, making its way into fall/winter 2024 collections and onto the streets in dresses, tops, handbags, and shoes. That said, in recent months, there has been a noticeable shift in preference, especially in footwear. Fashion insiders are ditching leopard-print shoes in favor of snakeskin print…
