Ahead of their wedding day, Wilnie and Wilson reassured each other that their relationship is still strong, and they’re looking forward to tying the knot. However, when Wilson asked, “Do you think that you’re receiving everything that you need right now in order to feel 100% happy?” She told him, “No. You’re not showing me affection enough. You’re not nurturing me enough. And it feels like what you’re asking me for is to work and also, like, be traditional, and I’m not ever going to be that person.” Wilson responded, “I don’t think I ever asked you to work and be traditional.”
During the finale, these two finally decided to call it quits, with Wilson claiming that the person he fell for in the pods is not the Wilnie he moved in with. This led Wilnie to explain, “I don’t think you like me, and I’ve said I’ve been thinking that you’re not gonna say yes at the altar… Hearing that I lack personality or that I’m not nurturing or that I’m helpless. Those things never felt good to hear.”
Previously, Wilson called her out in front of her friends for being far less positive than she was in the pods. He explained, “She has this, like, helpless attitude towards everything.”
In the pods, Wilson got caught in a major love triangle between Wilnie and Malaine. However, Malaine decided to ghost Wilson after Cam broke things off with her because it was “easier” that way. When Wilnie revealed to Wilson that his other connection left, she accurately predicted, “We’re getting engaged whether you like it or not.”
In Mexico, Wilnie revealed that while she’d gone on a date with a Black man before, this was her first “full-on” relationship with one. Still, she said Wilson is 100% her type. Both Wilson and Wilnie revealed that they cried after their engagement, which was adorable. Later, Wilson told Wilnie, “I feel good. Like, it’s been— It’s been a cozy ride.”
