What do we see in The Debut trailer?
The video introduces Academy Award winner Julianne Moore, who is playing an awkward and timid woman who gets suddenly cast in a musical at her local community theater. Joining her in the film are Paul Giamatti, Halle Bailey, Eisenberg, Cara Buono, Craig Bierko, Eldar Isgandarov, and Bernadette Peters. This marks Moore and Eisenberg’s latest collaboration, after 2022’s comedy-drama When You Finish Saving the World.
Eisenberg wrote and directed The Debut, serving as his third directorial project after the success of the 2024 film A Real Pain. The movie is produced by Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Dave McCary, and Ali Herting, with Ryan Heller executive producing. It is a production by A24, Topic Studios, and Fruit Tree. In addition, the musical film is also expected to feature original music from Eisenberg. The creative team also includes editor Robert Nassau, composer Emile Mosseri, casting director Douglas Aibel, production designer Anne Ross, costume designer Stacey Battat, art director Annie Simeone, set decorator Amy Beth Silver, and more.
