Despite The Bold and the Beautiful‘s ongoing narrative and head writer Bradley Bell‘s assurances that Luna was dead, some new developments seem to indicate that she may have cheated death yet again. While this is not impossible in the soap opera world, there is still not enough evidence to assert positively that Luna is back in the mix.
How can Luna still be alive in The Bold and the Beautiful?
The Bold and the Beautiful dramatically killed off Luna. She was squashed to death by onetime hostage Miss Dylan while trying to escape from the authorities. However, certain details about the death remained unsettling to fans.
For instance, no dead body was ever shown on screen. This has long been a sign of characters returning from death in most soap operas. There was also no funeral for Luna, which many fans interpreted as another sign that Luna was alive.
In a recent episode of the show, Miss Dylan received a menacing phone call. In the preview video for the next episode, a figure could be seen emerging from behind the wardrobe rack. The figure left Dylan screaming. This seemed to trigger the thought in fans about Luna’s return.
Dylan’s reaction seemed exactly the kind she could have on seeing Luna, who had tormented her before, as well.
Previously, Bold and Beautiful head writer and executive producer, Bradley Bell, confirmed to TV Insider that Luna was dead. “Luna is dead,” he had said, “We all saw it. I mean, Lisa Yamada — wow. And to cap it off with an Emmy and to have her bring levity and that spark in her eye and the unique delivery? What a joy she was to work with and what a wonderful person. She took that character and ran with it, and it was so wonderful collaborating with Lisa.”
So, while Bell’s statement initially made some fans believe that Luna was indeed dead, with the new developments, most are convinced that she is back again.
The upcoming episodes of the show will reveal if Luna is really back or if some other sinister force is at work.
